Corsi & WND find new ways to fleece flock

Posted by James McPherson on March 29, 2011

Jerome Corsi and WorldNetDaily publisher Joseph Farah obviously make a perfect ethical match. Both use wacky conspiracy theories to make a living off of the gullible.

Their latest effort will probably further demonstrate the old adage about the 60-second birthrate of suckers, though it’s tough to believe that either Corsi or Farah–let alone the two in tandam–has much credibility left.

But Corsi, who actually sued his former publisher for distorting the New York Times bestseller list to pimp his previous book is now working with the “Christian” publisher in an effort to raise money from “readers” to do exactly the same thing.

The most telling lines of the WND piece (which actually promotes commercials for the book rather than the book itself): “WND needs to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to air these commercials on television networks and stations throughout the country. …  Farah also urges everyone concerned about the cover-up to make a donation in any amount – from $5 to $5,000. (Bigger donations can be accepted by special arrangement by emailing Farah personally jfarah@wnd.com.)”

It is interesting that conservative writers who bash the New York Times in their books then apparently think readers should trust the Times’ bestseller list above all others when they’re marketing those books.

We’re left to wonder when Donald Trump will produce a book published by WND–assuming he’s not already in negotiations to buy the whole operation.

jimmie mac: I am a korean vet and a retired sheriff here in this chicken shit state of ours, and I am extremely confused….have you ever read the ‘laws of nature’, or the ‘laws of nations’ ?

From your ramblings, I seriously doubt it….as stated in the this treatise of e. vattel….to be an American ‘Natural Born” citizen you must have had (TWO) American born parents at the time of the childs birth… And if only (one) is an American citizen, as in Obama’s case, it was his mother, and by his own admission his FATHER, as shown on all of these different Birth certif.’s he has put forth, that his FATHER was from KENYA. On one listed as : AFRICAN.

So in this case the child will always follow that nationality of the FATHER, Always….An AFRICAN and an American mother….so how do you with all of your so called intellect, how do you consider “Birthers” nuts ?
When in fact they have delved into and did the research to discover that, that is the rule of ‘common law’ accepted by the congress and the framers ???

No, Jer, I have not read the works you refer to, though I have read enough arguments on enough blogs to be familiar with the argument you’re making–and those against it, which have been the ones actually bought by the courts, Congress, and everyone else who actually matters.

There are many reasons to vote against Obama in the next election, but I can’t imagine a much bigger waste of time than fighting this birther battle. It ranks very low on my list of priorities, but thank you for your service.

WELL JIM, UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE SPECIFIC MENTIONED ARTICLE, WHICH WAS FROM WHICH OUR FOUNDERS LINKING THEIR WORDING TO BE A “NATURAL BIRTH” CITIZEN….
THEN IT IS LIKE TALKING TO THE WALL, BECAUSE YOU HAVE “NO” REAL TRUTHFUL KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT YOU ARE WRITING ABOUT….
THIS MAKES YOU A VERY BIG JOKE JIM…
    .
YOU ARE TAKING ‘OTHERS BLOGS’ AS THE TRUTH…?. STUNNING REVELATION FOR A PHD? YOU ALSO STATE THAT ‘WHAT’ MAKES THE DIFFERENCE?

JIM : I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE EVEN CLOSE TO A REAL LIVE PERSON…

NOW I SERIOUSLY AM NOT TRYING TO DENIGRATE YOU….
BUT HOW CAN YOU EVEN WRITE ANYTHING THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE, UNLESS YOU YOURSELF KNOW EXACTUALLY WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT ?
ACCORDING TO YOU, YOU HAVE JUST ADMITTED TO NOT KNOWING ANYTHING, BUT FROM SOKMEONE ELSE’S BLOGS…!!! ????????????????? TO BAD, HOW SAD…..

“YOU ARE TAKING ‘OTHERS BLOGS’ AS THE TRUTH…?”

No, Bigjer, and I never said so. I said those blogs had showed arguments from both sides. The combination of that and–more importantly–the fact that NOT ONE American court, and NOT ONE of 535 members of Congress, buys into your argument is enough to demonstrate to me that I can better spend my time with things other than silly birther conspiracies.

Now if you can convince anyone who matters to pursue the case, perhaps I’ll delve into the reading. In the meantime I’ll stick with reading that interests me far more, such as the conspiracies offered by John Grisham.
